They are called VPZP. Highly processed foods. Not only all chips and sweets, but also sauces or ready meals. And if anything, this is ruining your healthy eating. “The best food is the real thing. If something has two or three lines of ingredients, keep your hands off it,” says Margit Slimáková in the iReceptář do úho podcast.

It’s actually quite simple. “it teaches us to perceive unnatural tastes and over time to develop an addiction to them,” explains well-known nutritionist Margit Slimáková. “On fat, on sugar, on flavorings.” But if you skip them, you will start to taste the taste of real food after just a few weeks. And after a few months, the artificial taste will start to repel you. When you cut out ultra-processed foods, you’ll get surprises elsewhere. You will save and not only money.
Luck in the bag
According to the expert, highly industrially processed foods are often composed in such a way as to induce a feeling of bliss in us. But we pay for it not only with our health, if we regularly eat a portion for a week in a single afternoon.
These foods also often cost much more money than the so-called basic ones. And that is perhaps a sufficient argument why it is better to stand in front of the stove or oven at home than mindlessly buy and also eat something that destroys the budget.
More energy
You might be thinking that processed foods save energy. But this only applies if you heat or thaw one. But if you cook the same food in larger quantities and store it for the next day, or even freeze it, the result will be significantly cheaper. Not to mention the energy your body gets from them. There you can be 100% sure that you will eat more of the homemade food and of better quality. Which is worth a little effort.
