President praised the Secret Service’s performance and stated that he had asked that the dinner continue
The President of the United States, (republican), stated this Saturday (April 25, 2026) that the “shooter was arrested” moments after he was rushed to dinner with industry journalists at the White House, held in Washington.
According to the news agency, noises similar to gunshots were heard outside the room where the dinner was taking place, at the Washington Hilton Hotel. There are no reports of injuries.
“The Secret Service and Washington law enforcement did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter was apprehended and I recommended that we let the show go on.”, Trump on his Truth Social profile.
In a second publication in Truth Social, Trump left the venue and will make a statement this Saturday (April 25). He stated that he, the first lady or vice-president and all members of the 1st level of the government are well.
