The mayor of , (), declined at least five invitations to international events since April with the aim of helping his vice-president run in this year’s elections.

The mayor has already informed his team that he will not leave the country until the end of the election.

To date, the mayor has not accepted invitations to events and conferences on topics such as safety, longevity and climate change in the United Kingdom (June and September), Spain (May and June) and the United States (September).
