The Minister of Finance, Dario Durigan, said this Monday (27) that the government’s measures to contain the indebtedness of individuals should be announced this week.
The Executive had been expressing concern about the financial health of Brazilians. In recent months, data related to debts and defaults have been setting new records.

The presentation of the measures to the public took place after . Representatives from Caixa Econômica Federal, Banco do Brasil, Itaú, Bradesco, Santander and BTG Pactual were present, as well as the executive president of Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks), Isaac Sidney.
According to Durigan, all the points of the program were discussed with the banks, who were also able to share their points of view.
“We have reached a good technical consensus on all points and I will return to Brasília tomorrow so that the announcement can be made, possibly this week by the president [Lula]”, said the head of the economic team.
