Senator demands colleagues’ position against dosimetry PL – 04/27/2026 – Panel

A few days before the session scheduled to analyze the president’s (PT) veto of Dosimetry, the leader of the opposition, senator (PL-RN), reacted to the possibility of the decision being maintained.

“The vote is open and whoever changes their position will have to explain themselves to public opinion and their voters”, he told the Panel.

The statement comes amid fears among opposition senators that Lula’s veto will be maintained.

The project was approved by a large majority in the Chamber, but had a close vote in , with 48 votes. To overturn the veto, 41 are needed. But some parliamentarians believe they could lose votes and even defend, behind the scenes, postponing the vote.

Rogério Marinho, however, rejected this possibility. “The choice is to pacify and do justice or persecute and trample,” he said.

In the Chamber, the scenario is favorable to the Bolsonarists. The opposition counts around 300 votes to overturn the presidential veto.

Therefore, government supporters say that the dispute will be difficult to win. If the veto is overturned, some parliamentarians do not rule out calling the STF to overturn the law.

is scheduled for Thursday (30).
