The governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan (MDB), appears technically tied with the former mayor of Ananindeua, Dr. Daniel Santos (Podemos) in the state race, shows the Genial/Quaest survey released this Monday (27).

In the first round scenario, Hana Ghassan has 19% of voting intentions in the race for re-election, against 22% for the former mayor. Former senator Mário Couto (DC) registers 11%, while Cleber Rabelo (PSTU) and Araceli Lemos (PSOL) have 3% and 2%, in that order.

Blank or null votes total 13%. They don’t know 30%.

The maximum margin of error is three percentage points, plus or minus. The survey interviewed 900 voters from Pará from April 21st to 25th. The survey was registered with the Electoral Court under number PA-09305/2026.

In a hypothesis without Mário Couto’s name, Daniel Santos and Hana Ghassan remain tied on the margin of error. She with 22%, he with 24%. Cleber Rabelo and Araceli Lemos have 5% and 3%, respectively.

In a possible second round between Daniel Santos and Hana Ghassan, the former mayor appears with 35% of intentions and the governor with 29%.

Runner-up on the ticket elected in 2022, Hana Ghassan took over the Government of Pará in April, after Helder Barbalho (MDB) left office to run for the Senate in the October elections. Hana, who was also Planning Secretary under the Barbalho administration, will run for a majority position for the first time as head of the ticket.

Dr. Daniel left PSB and joined Podemos in March. In April, he resigned as mayor of Ananindeua to run for governor of Pará.
