BBB winner spoke about the scale of work on the reality show; Former minister calls for mobilization for Congress to approve Lula’s project
The former Minister of Finance and pre-candidate for the government of São Paulo (PT) shared on his official profile on X a video in which he uses statements of do (Big Brother Brasil) 2026, to defend the approval of the change to the 6 x 1 working day in the National Congress.

The bill sent by the Lula government determines the reduction of working hours from the current 44 hours to 40 hours per week. The text mandatory establishes 2 days of paid rest, which in practice establishes the 5 X 2 scale model.
Haddad shared images in which Ana Paula Renault talks about the need for popular pressure to approve the 5 x 2 scale. The former BBB argued that previous labor rights, such as vacations and 13th salary, were achieved despite resistance from sectors that claimed that Brazil would fail:
“In the past, there were no holidays, no 13th, and every time they were going to sanction a right for workers they said that Brazil was going to go bankrupt. Did it go bankrupt with the holidays? No. Did it go bankrupt with the 13th? No”he stated.

Haddad highlighted that Ana Paula demonstrated citizenship by remembering rights won through workers’ struggles. He also cited the president of , , and the governor of São Paulo, (Republicans), who have already spoken out against the reduction in working hours.
“If we mobilize, we will be able to get Congress to approve the change to the 6 x 1 working day. Then you will have, without reducing your salary, 40 hours of working hours with 2 days of mandatory rest. It is a very significant change. It is a fight”, said the pre-candidate.

BBB WINNER
Ana Paula Renault, 44 years old, won the 2026 edition of Big Brother Brasil on Tuesday (21 April), with 75.94% of the votes. The Minas Gerais company, from Belo Horizonte, earned R$5.7 million. The award was the biggest in the entire history of the program on TV Globo.
The journalist is the daughter of the former federal deputy who died on Sunday (April 19) in Belo Horizonte, aged 96. Gerardo had been hospitalized since April 3rd. The cause was not disclosed.
