Presidential candidate Romeu Zema (Novo) said in an interview with the program Pingos Nos Is, and Young Pan, on Tuesday night (28), which “Today we are clearly in an authoritarian regime, that takes away freedom of expression and that wants to silence people” but that “no dictatorship lasts forever”.
After being asked about his latest episodes of criticizing the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Zema spoke about how he is not afraid to expose himself and do what “almost no candidate” has done. “I am certainly the one who has criticized the STF the most, especially because I don’t have a tail tied up and I can talk whenever I want. I’m very confident,” said the former Minas Gerais governor.
Zema further stated that are you sure that the polls in October will respond “adequately” and the they will give space to “good people”.

The former governor of Minas Gerais published a satire video, on March 1st, which portrays, STF minister Gilmar Mendes, asking magistrate Dias Toffoli for an exchange of favors amid the Banco Master scandal.
After the miner’s posts, Gilmar Mendes sent a representation to the minister on April 20 asking for an investigation into the presidential pre-candidate. The minister pointed out suspected signs of crime in the publication.

The video published by Zema portrayed a conversation between two dolls, characterized by puppet designs, which would represent Dias Toffoli and Gilmar Mendes. In the publication, Toffoli calls Gilmar and asks him to cancel his company’s breaches of confidentiality, approved by the Senate’s Organized Crime CPI.
