Vancouver – FIFA President Gianni Infantino assured at the beginning of his speech at the congress of the world football association that Iran will take part in this summer’s World Cup. “We have to unite, we have to bring people together. Football unites the world,” said Infantino in Vancouver. “Iran will take part in the 2026 World Cup. And of course Iran will play in the USA,” said Infantino. Infantino later also spoke about himself: He announced that he would run for re-election as president for the third time in a row next year.
