The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said this Friday (1) that he is not satisfied with a new proposal from Iran to end a two-month war with the United States and Israel.
“Iran wants to make a deal, but I’m not happy with it,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “Iran wants to make a deal because they no longer have a military.”
Speaking at the White House, Trump said Iran had “made progress” in telephone talks with the US, “but I’m not sure they’ll ever get there.”

Earlier, the White House said it would not give details about private diplomatic talks when asked about Iran’s new proposal to the United States that was presented to Pakistani mediators.
“We do not detail private diplomatic conversations. President Trump has made clear that Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon, and negotiations continue to ensure the short- and long-term national security of the United States,” spokeswoman Anna Kelly told Reuters.
