Copenhagen/London – It has been suspected for some time that weight loss medications based on so-called GLP-1 receptor agonists also have positive effects on addictions. This has now been confirmed by a first study with random selection of test subjects and placebo control for obese people who abuse alcohol. The number of high alcohol consumption days was greatly reduced.
