Vienna – The “education phase” regarding the headscarf ban, which will apply to girls under 14 from the next school year, is still ongoing. The ministry issued an information letter for parents and an explicit warning to teachers that they would be breaching their official duties if they did not report a violation immediately. “There are already great concerns in schools about the autumn, when the regulations will be ‘tightened’,” reports the top teachers union Paul Kimberger (FCG).
