Police and protesters clashed in Paris, France, during the Labor Day union march this Friday (May 1, 2026). The mobilization brought together workers and trade unions in the French capital.
The march registered riots and rushing at several points along the route. In the images, it is possible to see security agents equipped with shields and anti-riot equipment working to contain the situation. Police officers were positioned along the route and dispersed participants.
The clashes involved protesters participating in the march and security agents responsible for policing the event.
According to the newspaper, local police said that 158,000 people demonstrated across France, including 24,000 in Paris. The French union (General Confederation of Labor) estimated the number at 300 thousand across the country, with 100 thousand in the capital.
