In addition to being prevented from voting, voters with a canceled title are subject to restrictions such as issuing and renewing a passport, taking office in public office, obtaining housing financing and enrolling in a public educational institution.
The deadline also applies to those who have not yet completed biometric registration. Collecting your fingerprint, however, will not be mandatory to be able to vote in the next elections.
To find out if there is any pending issue with the electoral justice system in Rio de Janeiro, the voter must access , or seek information via WhatsApp and Dial TRE-RJ, both at (21) 3436-9000.
The Electoral Court encourages young people who have reached the age of 15 to request the issuance of an electoral card. In order to be able to vote, however, it is essential that they turn 16 years old by the election date: October 4th.
At the time of service, it is essential to present an official identity document and proof of residence with an issue date of less than 90 days.
People who have changed their name must bring a document proving this change, such as a marriage certificate.
Furthermore, men who were born in 2007 have an obligation to show that they are done with military service.
Voters who already have their biometrics registered can request services directly through the TRE-RJ website.
For those who have not yet registered their fingerprints, the service must be provided in person.
Anyone who has a regular electoral card and just wants to pay off fines, issue certificates or a new copy of the electoral card, can access these services on the service page online TRE-RJ or leave to seek these services in person after May 6th.
