Fire hits 20 houses in Manaus; suspected gas cylinder explosion

More than 20 homes were hit by a huge fire in the neighborhood of São Jorge, in the west of Manaus, this Sunday morning (3). One person was injured with a minor burn and was taken to a hospital.

The City of Manaus, through the Executive Secretariat for Civil Protection and Defense (Sepdec), linked to the Municipal Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Semseg), informs that the Municipal Civil Defense and the Municipal Secretariat for Women, Social Assistance and Citizenship (Semasc) have been working, since the early morning of this Sunday, 3/5, in Santa Cruz alley, in the São Jorge neighborhood, West zone, responding to a fire incident.
