The game between Real Madrid and Espanyol, which ended in a 2-0 Madrid victory, was marked not only by goals, but also by Vinícius Júnior’s provocations.
The Brazilian striker was highlighted on and off the pitch, with a camera from the Movistar Plus+ channel capturing several tense moments with Omar El Hilali, who was marking him during the match.
In one of the most talked about episodes, Vinícius said: “In a little while you’re going to ask me for the shirt and I’m not going to give it to you. Stop being stupid. Do you want to fight? If you want to play, let’s play. Go to the second division.”
The exchanges continued throughout the game. In a dead ball, the Brazilian addressed his opponent again: “Wait, the ball is stopped and you are already catching me?” Faced with El Hilali’s response, he reacted: “But why do you have to push? You’re always pushing. I’m calm, brother. It’s not that you’re stupid, you’re being stupid to appear on television.”
The meeting also had other hot moments. El Hilali received a red card in the first half, but the decision ended up being reversed after VAR intervention, to the frustration of Vinícius.
Already close to the Espanyol bench, the Real Madrid player also left a warning to coach Manolo González: “If you don’t want to be fired…”, in reference to El Hilali’s stay on the field.
Despite the controversy, Vinícius Júnior was the great figure of the game, scoring the two goals that guaranteed Real Madrid’s victory.
Football… if this thing about Vinicius needs to be normalized and not that there are players who look like they are playing inside a funeral home…
I want shows, trash talks, pique and then the best one wins.
