The Israeli Air Force attacked a suburb of Beirut, Lebanon. According to an AFP source, the commander of the Radwan elite unit operating within the Hezbollah militant movement was killed there, writes TASR.

TV station Kešet 12 reports that in addition to the commander, his deputy and several fighters were also killed.
Night attack
The attack on the Beirut suburb of Dahija took place around 20:00 local time (19:00 CET). Residents reported loud explosions and DPA eyewitnesses spoke of panic in the streets. The United States was reportedly informed about the attack in advance.
A cease-fire between Israel and Lebanon began at midnight on April 16-17. However, in the south of Lebanon, fighting took place in spite of him. Both sides have repeatedly accused each other of violating it.
