The former stepfather of funk player MC Ryan SP, Eduardo Magrini, known as “Blonde Devil”was once again the target of authorities in an operation launched this Friday (8) against a money laundering scheme linked to the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC). The action is carried out jointly by the Public Ministry of São Paulo and the Civil Police.

Named “Operation Caronte”, the offensive was carried out by the Specialized Center for Combating Organized Crime and Money Laundering (NECCOLD), of the Civil Police, in partnership with GAECO of Campinas. Investigations indicate that Magrini used transport and rodeo companies, in addition to “orange” partners, to hide resources from international drug trafficking and other criminal activities.

According to the police, Eduardo Magrini boasted a life of luxury on social media, with imported cars, international travel and millionaire wealth. On digital platforms, where he has more than 100 thousand followers, he presented himself as a rural producer and influencer in the world of rodeos.

The investigations also affect Magrini’s son, suspected of moving illicit money through companies linked to the music sector. The court ordered the freezing of R$10 million in the bank accounts of those being investigated, in addition to the hijacking of vehicles and other assets.

In total, the Civil Police fulfills 11 search and seizure warrants in the cities of Campinas, Atibaia, Monte Mor, Sumaré, Limeira, Mogi das Cruzes, Osasco and Taquaritinga. During the operation, trucks, cars, cash and animals of high commercial value were seized, including the “Império” ox, considered the third highest ranked in Brazil.

Eduardo Magrini had already been in pre-trial detention since October last year, after an investigation by GAECO of Campinas that investigates an alleged PCC plan to assassinate prosecutor Amauri Silveira Filho.

According to authorities, Magrini would have direct participation in the so-called “Sintonia FM” of the criminal faction, sector responsible for managing drug sales points. Investigations also indicate that he participated in the coordination of attacks carried out by the PCC in May 2006 against police bases, police stations and public security structures in the state of São Paulo.

The series of attacks, considered the largest criminal offensive ever recorded in the state, turns 20 next week. According to the investigation, “Diabo Loiro” would have acted especially in actions directed against agents and structures of the State Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic).

“Operation Caronte” also marks the beginning of an integration project between the Civil Police and the Public Ministry aimed at combating organized crime and money laundering in the state of São Paulo.

The column was unable to contact Magrini’s defense, so the space remains open for the update.
