The attacks followed a warning from the Israeli army (IDF), which called on residents of several villages to evacuate. Although Israel says the targets of the attacks were linked to the militant group Hezbollah, some areas hit were not included in the warning, Lebanon’s state-run NNA agency said.

A drone with explosives
At the same time, the Israeli army reported finding a drone with explosives that was launched from Lebanon. The unmanned device was discovered near the border with Lebanon in Israeli territory. According to the IDF, the drone did not cause any damage or injuries, while engineers are working to safely remove it. The incident is under investigation, the Times of Israel website said.
The Israeli attacks come at a time of heightened tensions between the two countries, with Iran-backed Hezbollah long considered Israel’s main adversary in the region. The situation at the border remains tense, with the international community calling for restraint and respect for the ceasefire.
