Neusiedl am See/Vienna – After criticism from the Equal Treatment Attorney’s Office of a letter from employees of the Neusiedl am See district police command warning the population about Roma and Sinti, the Ministry of the Interior became involved. Intended as crime-prevention information to combat fraud, the text of a Facebook posting, which has now been deleted, used “a term that was perceived as discriminatory about the Roma ethnic group,” according to the department.
