North Korean leader Kim Jong-un stated that he gives “highest priority” to the partnership with Russia, in a message to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, for the 81st anniversary of Victory Day, amid the deployment of thousands of North Korean soldiers to support Moscow in its war against Ukraine.
In the message, published this Saturday by the state agency KCNA, Kim reaffirmed Pyongyang’s position of giving “highest priority” to the comprehensive strategic partnership treaty, signed in 2024, which provides for mutual assistance in the event of aggression.
