Zuzana Kubovčíková Šebová at the wedding of a Slovak MP: He said yes to a well-known man! PHOTO

On Saturday, May 9, there was good news in the Slovak show business! Politician Michal Sabo, who a few years ago hung up his career as a presenter and began to devote himself to something completely different, got married. In the last elections, the environmental activist fought his way into parliament on the candidate of the Progressive Slovakia movement. As one of the few politicians, he officially joined the LGBTI+ community.

He and his partner decided to seal their love beyond the borders of Slovakia. “The newlyweds wish you a happy Europe Day. M&M,” wrote about the wedding photo on Saturday at the Sabo lunch. You can find it in the gallery. The EU commemorates Europe Day every year on May 9. This date is the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration. It is a 1950 proposal by the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Robert Schuman, which laid the foundations of European cooperation. Schuman’s proposal is considered the beginning of today’s EU.

Michal Šefčík won the heart of the Slovak parliamentarian years ago. The former manager of Mir Jaroš or Dominika Mirgová, who started his own business, showed off a joint photo on Instagram last year with a description that exudes strong feelings. “My world is better with you“, Šefčík confessed. Many well-known faces from show business wished them well.

Kubovčíková Šebová as a witness

Sabo’s witness was actress Zuzana Kubovčíková Šebová, she attended the wedding together with her husband Michal Kubovčík and children. They all took a picture together and she also shared the picture on Instagram. Although the newlyweds married across borders, member states must recognize same-sex marriages concluded in the Union.

“Yesterday was a very special day. Congratulations, our loved ones. 25 years of friendship. It was a great honor to be your witness,” Šebová wrote about the pictures from the wedding. You can find them in the gallery.
