ZDF sports director Yorck Polus condemned hateful comments on the Internet towards television commentators in the run-up to the World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada (June 11th to July 19th). “This stuns me and I ask myself: What is going on in the minds of those who hide in anonymity and insult people because of their gender or because of their voice,” he said in an interview with the SID.
