Event to celebrate the minister’s arrival at the helm of the Electoral Court brought together ministers from higher courts, there was a show by Jorge Aragão and brought together political leaders such as Flávio Bolsonaro and Arthur Lira
A few hours after delivering his speech as president of the Superior Electoral Court, minister Kassio Nunes Marques brought together ministers from the Federal Supreme Court, the Superior Court of Justice and politicians, such as senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), and singer Gusttavo Lima, in a get-together on the shores of Lake Paranoá, in Brasília.
The celebration for the minister’s arrival as head of the Electoral Justice brought together authorities from the Three Powers, with a show by Jorge Aragão and Dudu Nobre, cigars and Macallan 18 year old whiskey. In addition to Flávio, there were also present the former President of the Chamber Arthur Lira, former Minister of Justice Ricardo Lewandowski and the Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet.
The closeness between Kassio Nunes Marques and the world of samba was reflected in his official speech. The judge cited Jorge Aragão when mentioning the excerpt from the song that says that “It is the people who produce the show and sign the direction”making an analogy to popular participation in the electoral process.

Meanwhile, in the hall, the minister’s friend and singer Gusttavo Lima greeted those present effusively, such as the inspector general of Electoral Justice, Antonio Carlos Ferreira, and lawyers from large firms in the capital.
Nunes Marques and Gusttavo Lima are friends. In 2024, the minister participated in the singer’s birthday party held on a yacht in Greece.
Organization and guests
The party was organized and hosted by Ajufe (Association of Federal Judges of Brazil). Although the entity made invitations available to people personally chosen by Kassio Nunes Marques, a membership fee of R$800 was charged for other guests. Whoever made the payment had access to the reserved space at Villa Rizza, in the South Sports Clubs Sector.
In total, 800 people bought tickets, raising R$640,000 for the entity.
