In recent days, many people have traveled to Fátima on foot, in what is already a traditional pilgrimage, especially in May, due to the celebrations of the Apparitions of Our Lady of Fátima.
Rui Freitas was one of the many pilgrims who took to the road and, after “six days and hundreds of kilometers”, finally arrived at Cova da Iria together with the remaining members of his musical group ‘4 Mens’, but also other people from Vizela.
On his Instagram account, the singer and winner of the program ‘1ª Companhia’ shared a summary of this pilgrimage, marked by ups and downs, and left a reflection in the caption.
“Six days and hundreds of kilometers… They say that the path to Fátima cannot be explained, it must be lived. And we lived it intensely. We left comfort behind, and embraced the tiredness, pain and silence of the road. But with each step that the body failed, the promise gave us encouragement and faith pushed us forward”started by writing.
Upon arrival in Fátima, Rui Freitas admitted his excitement: “Arriving in Fátima and feeling that we have accomplished it is an inexplicable emotion. Thank you to everyone who crossed our path and gave us a word of strength 🙏”it ended.
