In the second half of 2025, people linked to federal deputy Mário Frias (-SP), mainly responsible for the work, “passed the hat” to representatives of the private sector sympathetic to Bolsonarism, to ask for help.
One of them reported to the Panel that he had received a request for US$10 million (R$50 million), but rejected the offer due to the high value and lack of certainty that the investment would yield a return.
The offer was estimated at R$300 million, combining cinemas and streaming.
