Brazil’s cotton lint production in 2025/26 is estimated at 3.74 million tons, below the 3.76 million tons previously forecast, Safras & Mercado said this Wednesday.
According to the consultancy, the downward revision reflects a reduction in the cultivated area, given low prices and tight margins during the planting period.
The volume expected for the cotton harvest represents a drop of 11.5% compared to the last harvest, which reached a record 4.23 million tons, Safras said.
