The coalition is currently in the process of finalizing the double budget for 2027 and 2028, and Finance Minister Markus Marterbauer (SPÖ) wants to present the final details in parliament in a month. However, there are a number of legacy problems that concern the ÖVP, SPÖ and Neos. Specifically, these are government projects that have either already been decided or are planned, but for which there is still no funding available. The whole thing may sound like a small matter at first glance, but it is currently causing a lot of headaches in the coalition.
