⁠China has agreed to order 200 ‌Boeing jets, US President Donald Trump tells the channel’s Sean Hannity ‌Fox Newsin excerpts from an interview broadcast this Thursday, marking the country’s first purchase of US-made commercial jets in almost a decade.

Few ⁠details 🏽about the deal were immediately available, ⁠but Boeing shares fell more than 4% after the comments aired. The total was much lower than media reports that suggested the planemaker was close to closing a deal to sell 500 or more planes to China.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on whether Trump 🏽 was referring to the entire Boeing order or just narrow-body or wide-body aircraft. Boeing did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent earlier said he expected an announcement on a major Boeing order during Trump’s visit to Beijing, during which he spoke with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

“One ⁠thing he agreed to today is he’s going to order ⁠200 jets…Boeing wanted 150, they got 200,” Trump said, according to Fox News, referring to Xi.
