President Donald Trump said on Friday (15) that he had communications with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and described the relationship between the two as “very good”.
“You know, I have a very good relationship with Kim Jong Un, very easy,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on his flight back from China.
Asked if he had any communication with him, Trump replied: “Yes.”
“It doesn’t matter, I’m not going to tell you about it,” Trump said when pressed about how many times the two had conversations.
“He’s been respectful to our country. I want him to be respectful. He’s been respectful to our country,” Trump added.

Trump’s comments come months after the North Korean leader said the US war with Iran proves his country made the right decision, accusing Washington of “state-sponsored acts of terrorism and aggression” in a speech in which he did not mention Iran by name.
