Senator defended resources for a feature film about his father; Flávio said on X that the left tries to manipulate public opinion
The senator and pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic (PL-RJ) on Saturday night (May 16, 2026) who “there is absolutely nothing wrong” in financing the film ““, a work that portrays the trajectory of his father, the former president (PL). The statement was published on the social network X.
Flávio’s demonstration was a response to a publication by his brother, the deputy (PL-SP), who criticized the newspaper’s report The Globe. According to the senator, the repercussions of the case would be “a test of the left” to assess the right’s ability not to fall into “manipulations”.
Earlier, Eduardo Bolsonaro had stated that he did not benefit from resources intended for the production of the work. The deputy published an image of an excerpt from the report The Globe to maintain that the aforementioned trust had no formal corporate link with funds, the film or itself. He classified the accusations as “false narratives”.

The demonstration by congressmen takes place after the website Intercept Brasil broadcast, last Wednesday (May 13, 2026), that Flávio Bolsonaro negotiated the payment of US$ 24 million with the founder of Banco Master, in early 2025. The amount would be used to finance the feature film. According to the website, US$10.6 million was paid between February and May 2025.
The transfers would have been operated by Entre Investimentos e Participações and sent to the Havengate Development Fund LP, based in Texas (USA). Daniel Vorcaro and his financial operator, , have been arrested since March 2026 by the Federal Police in , which investigates financial crimes involving the banking institution.
