Train and bus collide in Thailand, several dead

At least eight people died in Thailand after a collision between a bus and a train.

The bus was waiting at an intersection for the freight train to pass, as shown in these video surveillance images.

Thai authorities confirm that, in addition to the eight deaths, at least 20 people were injured.

Following the collision, the bus caught fire. The fire ended up spreading to vehicles that were in the region.

The causes of the accident are being investigated.
