A freighter belonging to Moscow’s allied power was reportedly hit by a drone in the Black Sea.
Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk This Monday, Russia accused Russia of attacking a Chinese commercial ship while it was in Ukrainian waters.
“It would be interesting to know what led the Russians to make the decision to attack this morning, with a [drone] Shahed, a Chinese commercial ship in our seas”, Pletenchuk on the social network Facebook.
The spokesman added that there were no casualties and called the fact that Russia allegedly attacked a Chinese ship “a first.”
Russia has attacked numerous foreign-flagged commercial ships with drones while they were docked in Ukrainian ports.
Ukraine regularly asks China to use its influence over Moscow to pressure Russia to end the war.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit Beijing this Tuesday.
