Many young people are now taking their investments into their own hands. Be it because they already have the precautionary idea in mind or simply because they want to be involved in the capital market. Almost every third Austrian already owns securities, as the “Stock Barometer” shows. According to this annual survey by the Vienna Stock Exchange, the Industrial Association and the Stock Forum, 31 percent of respondents own stocks, bonds, funds or ETFs. The experts recently emphasized when the survey was published that the topics of wealth creation and private provision have now reached the mainstream of society.
