National co-president of DSA (Democratic Socialists of America), Ashik Siddique will give a lecture this Thursday (21) at the headquarters of , in São Paulo.
The group has among its members the mayor of , , who took office in January this year, running for the Democratic Party. He is also at the forefront of demonstrations against Donald Trump’s government, called “No Kings”.
The debate will focus on the strategies of the left in the USA against the rise of the extreme right.
The American entity and the Brazilian party are ideologically close. In September last year, the president of PSOL, Paula Coradia, participated in a DSA congress in the USA.
