Analysts point out that the high interest rate environment, with the Selic rate at a high level for a prolonged period, exposed financial and management problems in companies from different sectors.

Over the decades, Estrela has established itself as one of the most traditional brands in the country by launching products that span generations.

Among them, the historical highlight is Banco Imobiliário, a property buying and selling game inspired by the financial market and considered one of the company’s biggest commercial successes.

Another classic is the Game of Life, in which participants simulate stages of their personal and professional journey, from college to retirement. Genius became a rage in the 1980s when it challenged children and adults with sequences of lights and sounds that required memory and speed.

The brand was also known for investigation and skill games. Detective, for example, asked players to discover the author, weapon and location of a fictional crime, while Face to Face became popular due to the question and answer system to identify characters.

In the line of electronic and movement toys, the Autorama marked an era with racing tracks and electric cars, while the Ferrorama became a symbol of sophistication among children’s toys by reproducing miniature railway circuits. Pogoball, a rage among children in the 1980s and 1990s, combined balance and physical activity in a structure that allowed continuous jumps.

The dolls also helped to consolidate the brand’s identity. Susi, considered one of the most emblematic dolls in Brazil, has crossed generations following fashion and behavior trends.
