The vice-president of the Republic, , was booed this Tuesday (19) during the 27th March of Mayors, an annual meeting held in Brasília with municipal managers from across the country.
Alckmin was called to speak, right after speeches by the presidents of , (-PB), and , (União-AP).
The vice president waited a few seconds to begin his speech amid boos and applause. When he began, he highlighted the times when he was also mayor — Alckmin governed Pindamonhangaba between 1977 and 1982.
In previous years, the president (PT) too. The majority of municipal managers in the country are linked to center and right-wing parties.
Lula, who has a schedule in São Paulo this Tuesday, can attend the March on Thursday (21), the event’s closing date.
Traditionally, the meeting organized by the CNM (National Confederation of Municipalities) brings together mayors and municipal managers from across the country for two days in the federal capital, where assemblies and lectures are held.
