Firefighters intervened on Friday early in the morning near the village of Boheľov in the Dunajská Streda district, where a passenger motor vehicle ended up in a canal near a bridge on a state road. Through investigation, they found that there was no leakage of operating fluids. They did not find any person in the car or its surroundings. This was reported to TASR by Lena Košťálová, the spokesperson of the Fire and Rescue Service in Trnava.
There was no person in the vehicle. As the spokeswoman said, the firemen then searched the place, but did not find anyone. The vehicle was pulled out using firefighting equipment with a hydraulic arm. At the same time, for preventive reasons, they stretched sorption snakes to prevent the possible leakage of operating fluids into the water course, which could negatively affect water quality and the local ecosystem.
