This document, made available by the Ministry of National Education (MEN), sets the time frame for the duration of educational classes and indicates the expected dates of exams at individual stages of education. Parents often use this information to organize holidays and spend time with their children. Recently, the Ministry of National Education published the calendar for the 2026/2027 school yearwhich immediately sparked interest in the issue of school-free days. Traditionally, the biggest emotions arouse the dates of winter holidays, holiday breaks and the beginning of summer holidays. It shows that students will receive several good breaks from school desks.

Students will return to school on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, and will finish classes on June 25, 2027. So the summer holidays will officially start a day later and last until the last days of August.
Students will also benefit from several breaks throughout their studies. The winter holiday break is scheduled from December 23 to 31, 2026a Spring break due to Easter will last from March 25 to 30, 2027. In turn, the winter holidays will be divided into three rounds and will depend on the given voivodeship:
- W 1st roundfrom January 18 to 31, 2027, students from the following voivodeships will rest: Lower Silesia, Łódź, Opole, Podkarpackie, Podlaskie and Silesia.
- II shiftscheduled for February 1-14, 2027, applies to the following voivodeships: Lublin, Masovian, Pomeranian and Świętokrzyskie.
- III tura will take place between February 15 and 28, 2027 and will cover: Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Lubuskie, Lesser Poland, Warmian-Masurian, Greater Poland and West Pomeranian.
The final dates of the exams for students of the last grades of primary and secondary schools are not yet known, and the head of the Central Examination Commission has until August 20 this year to publish them. What is certain, however, is that the last years in secondary schools will end the school year on April 30, 2027which suggests that the final exams will start soon after the May weekend, most likely on May 4.
