“He has to be investigated, like everyone else, like I am,” said the senator from Piauí
The senator (PP-PI) spoke on Thursday (May 21, 2026) about the involvement of the senator and pre-candidate for President (PL-RJ) with the founder of , Daniel Vorcaro. Said that “today there is a selective leak in Brasília, directed towards the right”. The statement was made to , an affiliate of Globo in Piauí.
“I’m not here to defend or accuse Senator Flávio. He has to be investigated, like everyone else, as I am. And, if he’s innocent, so be it, of course, his innocence is recognized. If he’s guilty, he has to pay exemplarily”declared Ciro.
“In this country, there can be no one else committing an offense that could benefit from protection. We must investigate impartially and whoever is innocent must be innocent. Whoever is guilty must pay severely in accordance with the law”added the senator from Piauí.
Ciro also spoke about his friendship with Vorcaro. “This businessman is a friend, we created this relationship, but, you can be sure, there is nothing that could discredit any performance I have done throughout my political career in recent years”he declared.
“Any public figure is subject to an investigation. We hope that the Federal Police, the Public Ministry and the Courts will judge in the most impartial way possible. […] I have a clear conscience.”he stated.
On May 13, the website Intercept Brasil an audio in which Flávio Bolsonaro asks Vorcaro for money to finance the film “Dark Horse”which portrays the trajectory of the former president (PL). After the conversation was leaked, the senator asked Master’s founder, but said that the resources were private.
On Tuesday (May 19), Flávio also met with Vorcaro after he was arrested by the Federal Police for the first time, at the end of 2025.
The PL presidential candidate once again stated that contact with the founder of Master was only due to the film. He said he was introduced to Vorcaro at the end of 2024 because he was interested in investing in production.
