A humanoid robot from the Chinese company Unitree caught attention during a presentation in Shenzhen, China. When trying to reproduce steps inspired by Michael Jackson, he ended up falling on stage and “blacking out” in front of the audience.
The demonstration took place during a technology and entertainment fair with humanoid robots. In the video circulating on social media, the equipment dances to the sound of “Billie Jean”, one of the singer’s biggest hits, while performing choreographed movements and trying to reproduce the famous moonwalk, a step immortalized by Jackson.

During the performance, however, the robot trips on the steps installed on the stage, loses its balance and falls. After the impact, he stops moving, even though the music continues to play in the room.
A few seconds later, a man climbs onto the stage and removes the humanoid from the performance area.
Unitree models have been used by China in different public events throughout 2026, mainly in demonstrations of artificial intelligence and robotics.
Continues after advertising
This year, humanoid robots also appeared in performances during the Chinese Lunar New Year gala, with synchronized dance performances and even martial arts simulations.
The song “Billie Jean” recently returned to the spotlight after the release of promotional materials for “Michael”, the Michael Jackson biopic.
