Coach Carlo Ancelotti announced the 26-man squad for the Brazilian squad for the 2026 World Cup and once again included Brazilian football clubs among the country’s representatives in the planet’s main tournament.
The one with the most call-ups: Léo Pereira, Alex Sandro, Danilo and Lucas Paquetá are on the final list. Before that, Rubro-Negro had Pedro and Everton Ribeiro in the 2022 World Cup.
Santos once again has a player called up for a World Cup with . The last Santos representative had been Robinho, in 2010. Grêmio also returns to the list with Weverton, ending a gap since Geromel, called up in 2018.
Another club that appears again is Botafogo, now with Danilo. Before him, the club’s last name in World Cups had been goalkeeper Jefferson, in 2014.
The 2026 call-up mixes athletes who play in Brazil, once again reinforcing the presence of national football in the National Team in a World Cup.
