Transaction expands RMC operations to Goiás and Tocantins and awaits approval from the competent regulatory bodies

The transaction values and the deadline for completing the deal were not disclosed.
Jaime Câmara Jr., current controller of the Jaime Câmara Group, will remain a minority shareholder in the resulting corporate structure. The transaction is subject to compliance with usual conditions precedent.
Caio Turqueto, president of Grupo Zahran, presented the acquisition as an investment in the Central-West region. “Brazil looks at this region and sees the breadbasket of the world. Jaime Câmara Jr. explained that the choice of new controllers considered the continuity of operations. “After more than 90 years, the main feelings are of gratitude to the society of Goiás and Tocantins, to our employees and customers, and of confidence in the care we took in choosing the new controllers. We trust that they will have the same care that we have always taken in our activities”he stated.
Companies involved
The Jaime Câmara Group has been operating since 1935 in Goiás and Tocantins. The company includes Anhanguera Television Networkthe newspapers The Popular, From here e Tocantins newspaper. The group also controls the radio stations Goiânia Executive, Palmas e Araguainaa CBN from Goiânia, the Moov FM ea Araguaia de Gurupi and Araguaína.
RMC has been operating in Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul since 1965. RMC operates TV, radio and news portals. THE RMC ea Anhanguera Network are affiliates of Rede Globo for more than 50 years.
The union of operations will form the largest affiliated communication network in the country. The resulting network will bring together activities in Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás and Tocantins.
