Petista leads other second round scenarios, against Romeu Zema, Ronaldo Caiado and Ciro Gomes
The Gerp Institute research, released this Friday (22), points to a scenario of technical draw between the President Lula (PT) and the senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) in the dispute for the Presidency of the Republic in 2026. The data shows equality in both voting intentions for the first round as in a possible second round, taking into account the margin of error.
The survey was carried out between the 18th and 21st of May, a period after the negotiations between Flávio Bolsonaro and the owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, for the financing a film about former president Jair Bolsonaro.
No first roundLula and Flávio Bolsonaro appear with 38% of voting intentions each. They are followed by former governors Romeu Zema (New) and Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) and by Renan Santos (Missão), with 3% each.

In a simulation of second roundFlávio Bolsonaro appears numerically ahead with 47%contra 44% by Lula. Considering the poll’s margin of error, which is plus or minus 2.24 percentage points, the two candidates are in a technical tie.
Lula leads against other candidates
The survey tested Lula against other possible candidates in a possible second round. THE current president leads all scenarios.
Contra Ciro Gomes (PSDB), Lula appears with 41% of voting intentions, against 31% of the former governor of Ceará.
Already against Lowthe PT member has 45%while the former governor of Minas Gerais appears with 34%.
In the dispute against Whitewashedthe current president is with 44% of voting intentions, against 32% of the former head of the Goiás Executive.

The research involved 2,000 interviews across the country. The confidence level is 95.5% and the margin of error is plus or minus 2.24 percentage points. The survey is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number BR-07971/2026.
