Iran accuses US of backtracking on agreement and threatens not to sign, says broadcaster

Iranian officials signaled a change of tone in negotiations with the United States, less than 24 hours after Donald Trump said a deal was “largely negotiated”, according to broadcaster Al Jazeera.

According to correspondent Ali Hashem, an Iranian source indicated that there are signs of American retreat on two central points of the negotiations: the mechanism to unfreeze Iranian assets and the scope of the ceasefire in Lebanon.
