The per classroom designed by the Government will disproportionately benefit public and, above all, subsidized educational centers where students with the highest socioeconomic and cultural level study, according to a report by EsadeEcPol published this Tuesday. Educational centers that enroll the 25% of kids from the most affluent social class will absorb 31.2% of the funds that the measure will cost, while those that welcome the most vulnerable 25% will receive 21.9%. The reason is that, by applying a linear decrease, the schools and institutes that benefit the most are those that now have the fullest classes, which, in turn, are concentrated in urban areas with higher economic profiles.
The drop in ratios will mainly benefit schools with richer public and subsidized students.
