“Didn’t you laugh once”? 'Pipoca Mais Doce' reacts to criticism after going to Joana Marques' show

Ana Garcia Martins, better known as ‘Pipoca Mais Doce’, used her Instagram account on the afternoon of Thursday, May 28, to react to an opinion she read on the internet about her stance on Joana Marques’ comedy show ‘Em Sede Própria’, which she had the opportunity to watch last night.

The comedian and digital content creator shared the story in which it was mentioned, and in which the person in question mentions that he “didn’t laugh once”, and decided to speak out.

After showing her perplexity at the young woman’s attention to her stance in the show, Ana Garcia Martins asked: “At what point do we completely lose track and think this is acceptable, and this is normal, and this is cool, and this is cool?”he questioned.

The comedian then regretted the young woman’s stance, when she shared the information on social media, and reflected: “Marta doesn’t know if I was sick yesterday, if yesterday the bit was bad for me, she doesn’t know if I was just legitimately tired (…), she doesn’t know shit, but she thought it would be cool to quantify the number of times I laughed during a show”he said.

‘Pipoca Mais Doce’ also considered that he was “97% of the time oscillating between perplexity, shame and pity”, realizing that he was “in shock” with the bizarreness of the process that gave rise to the show, and also explained that, in comedy shows, he is attentive to many other details.

“And besides, I think I have a bit of an analytical stance on comedy shows because, as I also do, I end up getting caught up in a lot of details (…). And so, maybe, I’m more focused on these things and I’m not as expressive, which doesn’t mean I’m finding it funny”he assured, leaving an appeal to people, so that “they could stop being stupid”.
