An iconic statement Marilyn Monroe’s “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend” from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes isn’t just a catchy chorus from a song. It has become a cultural phenomenon that perfectly describes the fascination with these gems.
Unlike perishable things, diamonds do not lose their luster. They are the hardest natural material on Earth and symbolize indestructibility, constancy, loyalty. When you invest in a diamond, you are investing in something that will stay with you forever. with musician Teri Čikoš accepted an invitation to the presentation of The Art of Jewelery collection from the ALO diamonds workshop, which was attended by famous faces from Slovak show business.
He was one of the guests Slovak fashion designer Fero Mikloško. He himself takes care of the appearance of men and women, which piece, according to him, will never go out of fashion? “I don’t know, after all these years, after so many interviews and so many shows and fashion police, what is such a fashionable piece that someone should have at home… I don’t know, he should have been home mainly with his love. Which can also be a fashion piece for someone, but for me that piece is just that love” said Mikloško honestly.
What does he say about the changes in the style of Slovenian women in recent years? “Well, exactly, there used to be, or rather there was a Ball in the Opera, so there was the most beautiful view of how the whole thing, the taste of women in Slovakia, is shifting. Because the Ball in the Opera, as if it started an era of fashion and the presentation of designers in Slovakia and the taste of women, for which I am very grateful.” reviewed the ball, which used to be the event of the year.
Sometimes it had its good and bad sides. “But there was still some development, as if it made sense, and I think that Slovak women, despite the fact that we have a lot of options to follow trends, online, in the media, whatever, have already learned. What’s great, some are literally addressing stylists that we’re already at that stage where we’re completely progressing, but I like that the younger generation is learning. It’s not quite top yet, but my generation – the ladies are already queens in this,” thinks the favorite designer.
In the past, the Slovak prom season was always opened by the Opera Ball. The historical building of the Slovak National Theater in Bratislava used to host around 300 couples of important personalities from the field, science, economy, medicine, culture, sports and the third sector.
