Three explosions were heard in Iran on Wednesday night, 27, east of the port city of Bandar Abbas, in the south of the country, according to the news agency Fars. Iranian media also added that anti-aircraft defenses were activated for a few minutes and that authorities were investigating the origin of the sounds.
The reports come two days after US forces carried out what the American military described as “self-defense” strikes in southern Iran, targeting missile launch sites and Iranian vessels believed to be trying to lay mines.

The report also states that the US Army also intercepted drones launched from Iran today.
A senior US official told Fox News that two Iranian vessels were surprised laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz and that, subsequently, the American Armed Forces destroyed the two ships of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The broadcaster also claims that the US military attacked a missile battery in the Bandar Abbas region, allegedly positioned to target American aircraft.
