Criminals were armed with cleavers and pocket knives
A couple, both 27 years old, were rescued by military police officers from the Tactical Force of the 3rd Regional Command of SinopMato Grosso, 480 kilometers from Cuiabá, on Wednesday (27), while they were tortured by five men using a cleaver and a pocket knife. The victims were being subjected to the so-called “tribunal do crime”.
According to the police report (BO), the police received information from the Regional Intelligence Agency at around 11:00 pm about a possible kidnapping in which the victims would be in private prisonbeing judged by criminals whether they should die. As they approached the house, the soldiers heard screams and cries of the victims.
Upon entering, the police found the man sitting with his hands tied between his legs and the woman hiding behind a counter at the back of the residence. The criminals were armed with a cleaver and a pocket knife, while another of them was making a video call with another person.
The woman reported that she and her husband had gone to visit a friend when one of the criminals suspected that the man belonged to a rival factionstarting to attack him and threaten to kill him. According to the victim, shortly after arriving at the house, were tied and the other factions arrived.
Afterwards, one of them started a video call with another person who would have ordered both to be executed. The police officers arrested the five criminals, who were taken to the police station to register a police report.
